Thomas Mohr, 5th Degree Black Belt

Prinicpal Instructor, Fitness Trainer, Personal Coach

 

Mr. Mohr has been practicing Martial Arts for 30 years and is a nationally ranked 5th Degree Black Belt.   Originally from Buffalo, NY, He has instructed classes at the State University College at New York, Lancaster Central High School, GOLDS Total Fitness Center, the Rochester Institute of Technology, Buffalo Athletic Club, and the Gymnastics Sports Academy. His Children’s Program in Buffalo has produced a number of Black Belts that are still teaching today. He has also taught self-defense seminars in concert with local police departments. 

 

The Mayor of Dunkirk, New York and the Dunkirk Youth Bureau have honored Mr. Mohr for his participation in the Big Brother - Little Brother Program.  He has also been recognized by the Atlanta Committee on Olympic Games as a Community Hero and carried the Olympic Torch in the 1996 Olympic Games.  Mr. Mohr is a 1995 New York City Marathon Finisher as well as an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a devoted husband and proud father of two children.  Mr. Mohr and his family relocated to Jacksonville from Northern Virginia in May 2004. 

Michael Mraz, 2nd Degree Black Belt

Intstructor, Fitness Coach

 

Mr. Mraz has been studying Martial Arts for over 10 years and became a nationally ranked 1st Degree Black Belt in November of 2009. He passed his 2nd Degree Black Belt test in 2013. Mr. Mraz has assisted with the instruction of all martial arts classes but focuses on the adult martial arts and fitness curriculum. 


With a background in high school and collegiate sports, Mr. Mraz draws from his experience as an athlete to deliver a unique teaching and coaching experience to students. 

 

Mr. Mraz regularly trains in martial arts, self defense and fitness in order to maintain his peak performance; physically, mentally and spiritually.

Amy Mohr, 1st Degree Black Belt

Instructor

 

Mrs. Mohr began practicing the martial arts in 1995.  She is a nationally ranked, 1st Degree Black Belt.  Mrs. Mohr has taught traditional classes in Buffalo, New York Leesburg, Virginia, and helps with our Warrior of Virtue classes with her husband Tom. 


Mrs. Mohr has volunteered as a coach for the national Girls On the Run program.  As a protective mom, good neighbor, and concerned citizen, she single handedly organized and founded the Kernan Forest Neighborhood Watch Program. She is a Sheriff’s Advisory Councils Volunteer, a Parent Ambassador for Sports member, and a Jacksonville Blueprint for Prosperity partner.  Mrs. Mohr is also a 1994 Marine Corps Marathon Finisher and a very fit mother of two.
